North Berwick Studio is a small but mighty recording studio set up by producer and multi instrumentalist Mark Ellis. Mark has built a reputation for himself as one of Scotlands top producers, whether releasing music for himself as Fair Weather Son or working with other artists, the quality of Marks work is there for all to hear. This ia backed up by consistent radio play for his clients on BBC Introducing, BBC Scotland, BBC 6 Music and a whole host of other local and community radio stations. Aside from the music made the most consistent feedback Mark receives is for the care and attention he gives to all of his projects and above all, making the recording experience fun! Making your music come to life is extremely important and so is creating an environment where you can feel relaxed and enjoy the process of making music you love.
Track record
As previously mentioned Mark's work is consistently played on the radio, a mark of great studio quality recording and top production too. Mark has also worked with major labels in the past inlcuding BMG Music where he worked at Tileyard Studios in London writing songs for country artist Cody Johnson. More recently Mark has been heavily involved with Creative Scotland and Moniack Mhor delivering songwriting sessions, recording and live performance tuition with fellow tutors and producers Boo Hewerdine (Eddi Reader, The Bible) and Michele Stodart (The Magic Numbers).
North Berwick Studio is also lovingly protected by Cuomo the cat so expect cuddles on the sofa while you work!
